As many of you know I am heavily into social media and content creating. I mean who isn’t now a days? I put a lot of thought and effort into my pictures for Instagram and my blog. You can ask any of my friends, I embarrass myself on the daily trying to get the perfect insta worthy shot. This being said I take a lot of inspiration from other bloggers and photographers on Instagram. There is nothing like the people, community, and connections you build though this platform. It is meant for sharing so it is only natural to find a group of people who really inspire you and appeal to your aesthetic. I categorized all of these accounts by what I mainly look to them for, even though they could honestly all fit into each category. So here is my curated list of my favorite most inspiring Instagram accounts from fashion, to aesthetics, to content.
Outfit Inspo/ Fashion
I have been obsessed with Emma Roche for as long as I can remember. She is the reason I wanted a Gucci belt so bad. The way she styles every outfit with her belt, gold chains and the variety of outfits she makes with her belt mesmerizes me. I would describe her style as frilly, voluminous, and feminine. She wears pieces of clothing in mainly hues of pink, red, white, and black, not to mention she layers like no other. I also admire the way she mixes her textures of clothing and always has a lot going on but never too much. From an outfit of the day standpoint the angles she gets of her clothing really give a good close up of all the details she has going on. I have had many outfits inspired by her so I highly recommend following her!
Alicia Roddy is another fashion blogger I have been following for a long time and take a lot of outfit inspiration from. She is always posting outfits that are very on trend at the moment. I love the way she mixes patterns and wears non typical silhouettes . Not to mention she has the most beautiful wavy hair ever. She runs a youtube channel as well where she will put up clothing hauls and do try ons.
The Fashion Fraction aka Michèle Krüsi is another style icon. Her outfits could be as simple as some jean shorts and a top and it would still be the most eye catching outfit in the room. She really knows how to match her setting to her outfits and still not take away from the details. I also like her because she wears simple outfits that are easy to recreate and her body always pops in the pictures. Her outfits aren’t the only reason I follow her, I also really love the composition and editing of her photos. She seems to always stand out in very saturated colors while her background seems to be whitewashed. Honestly, editing goals, outfit goals, just life goals. A great follow.
This girl right here is a fashion queen, how could I not recommend to follow her. She really focuses on fashion and showing every detail in her outfit. Her photos are so fun you feel like you’re with her wherever she travles, also the quality of the shots are amazing. I would say her style ranges from high class to everyday chic. A modern day Holly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s if you will. She also accessorizes her outfits to a tee, some of these accessories her own that she designed. This is one blogger who I can say has really fine tuned her brand through fashion and lifestyle blogging.
If you are looking for boho meets party girl this is the account to follow. Anna Grace Newell is a Nashville babe and it certainly shows. It seems to me every blogger or Instagram account I follow that is from Nashville has this particular type of style that she has. I feel like I’ve said this about every person on this post thus far, but she really shows every detail in her outfit, which I think is hard to do. You can tell she really is trying to capture the essence of the outfit rather than the photo being so posed, which I have nothing against because I certainly set up my pictures, but this is pretty rare to find with most fashion bloggers. This is also a great person to follow for festival inspo. She really plays around with patterns and jewelry that seems like it would be overwhelming, but it certainly is not, it’s just the right amount.
Sarah Belle is another Nashville blogger babe. She has that same kind of boho meets country (Maybe I’m thinking country because she wears a lot of hats? I mean, same girl.) meets Urban Outfitters meets high fashion vibe. Her outfits always have one or two elements going on and she is always wearing statement pieces. Not only is Sarah Belle fashion forward, but she has the absolute best travel guides on her blog. I personally have used them for my Miami trip, Nashville trip, and to find some places in Atlanta I didn’t even know existed. This being said, her backdrops for pictures are better than most and always interesting.
Where do I even start with Sequins and Sales or as I know her, Amanda Johnson. Maybe I’m a little biased towards her account because she’s my bestie, but regardless I would still recommend her account even if I didn’t personally know her. Her feed is so clean and white with pops of blush and mustard yellow, it’s hard not to be drawn in immediately. Besides her aesthetically pleasing feed she posts all about, drum roll please, sales on the cutest clothing! I mean shocker, right, it’s only in the Instagram handle. I feel like a lot of fashion bloggers or Instagramers only make posts in clothing that the majority of the public can’t afford, so this is a great little space to get the best deals out there. I could really go on and on about her Instagram and Blog, but you just have to check it out for yourself.
Imagine Florence Welch reincarnated, but she was also in Twin Peaks, and also in a Wes Anderson movie, this is Gentle Woman of the Road or Madolyn Benson. It makes my heart happy to be recommending someone who is based out of my home state, Georgia. She posts the most whimsical photos I think I have ever seen and they look like they were developed from a film camera. You can tell from her account and blog that she is such an original creator when it comes to her content and style. I honestly can’t think of many other people out there with the same aesthetic, which I love. If you’re looking for a place to teach you how to pull off a flowy floral vintage dress this is your girl.
Here is another one of my homies, Pretaportkate. She is also based out of Atlanta and I actually have met her once before at a girl boss conference. Even though I’ve only met her once, I feel like we’re best friends through her content on Instagram and from our interactions on there. I mean this girl asks on her Instagram story every other Monday if her followers are doing well or not and then messages them about their life, like how unbelievably sweet and awesome is that? Her stories are one of the reasons why I put her account on this post. She has the BEST Instagram stories full of rich content like, makeup tutorials, clothing hauls, general advice and much more. They are so interesting so every time I see she has a new story up I get excited. Besides her stories and being such a genuine person she really has an eye for aesthetics in clothing and in things overall. A skill I can’t attribute to the average joe. As for her style I would describe it as androgynous chic. I give five stars on this account and I hope you too give her a follow.
Sarah Crawford is seriously the queen of aesthetics. Every one of her photos are artistic, full of rich color, and well thought out compositions. She is another Georgia peach, but relocated to LA. You can just tell from her posts she’s the ultimate cool girl you would want to be friends with and borrow her clothes. I feel like she takes every day items and makes you see them in a new way, which is the goal of every artist or photographer.
The best reason I can give to follow Fancy Tree House or Coury Combus is pink pink and more pink. Elle Woods and Dolores Umbridge would approve, that’s for sure. I haven’t been following her long, but as soon as I saw her feed I was in love with all the color. Besides her iconic color schemes she wears the most adorable frilly clothing reminiscent of a southern belle. I just think her account is really fun. If you love her account she also sells her own pack of filters on the app A Color Story called cardigan which I use on occasion.
This is probably my favorite Instagram account on this list, Mallory on the Moon or Mallory Morris. She is my number one inspiration when it comes to clothing, aesthetics, and photo compositions. This girl can take the most boring most common item in existence and make the most stunning photo out of it. You can tell she really has a passion for what she does, content creation. Her outfits are always to die for and she is the thrifting queen. I also love the qualities of her photos and the way she uses props in photos, for example how she will hold something closer to the lens of the camera to give the rest of it more depth. She also makes great edits from some of her photos which is a serious skill. I could go on about this Instagramer for days, but I will let you check it out for yourself.
Tezza seriously does the MOST. I mean this babe does it all. That includes having her own presets and app. I actually use her Lightroom presets for my photos because they are everything I would ever want in a filter and her app filters for my Instagram stories. Besides all of this her style is crazy amazing. I really look to her for style inspiration because she shops and sponsors really unique brands along with styling them originally. The number one thing I look to her for though are her photo compositions. She too uniquely takes her photos and uses props in the most interesting ways while making sure you can see every detail in the photo. You can guarantee that my post notifications are on for her.
The best way I can describe Officially Quigley is how she describes herself, “art teacher chic.” She wears very unconventional clothing items you wouldn’t think could be fashionable and then makes them work. I really don’t know many people that have that ability. Perhaps that’s why I relate to her a lot because I’ve had the same thing said about me. Her photos are so bright and fun and really make you feel like you’re a part of the adventure that is her life. Once again the quality of her content is really untouchable and I take major inspiration from her.
So Bonnie is an actual fairy or maybe a mermaid considering how long her hair is. She is another recent follow and I am so glad I found her. Her pictures seriously look like they’re out of some fantasy land. All of her photos are uniquely composed in the way she places herself in a very spacious setting or a very busy one. The color pallet in her feed is just dreamy with pops of yellow, red, peach, and green. She is another one of those people that is just so fantastic at creating new content and ideas that I haven’t seen before.
I hope that those of you who read this post enjoyed it and give some of these babes a follow! Nothing about this is sponsored, but all comes from the heart. I really appreciate the massive amount of talent and creativity that I see on this social media platform we call Instagram. Not only that but the countless creatives and communities that it builds. I really do believe at the heart of it social media is a great thing when used in the right way. I like to think that all of these fifteen accounts together is a lot of what I put into my own creative vault. The list is not limited to just these fifteen accounts, there are many more that inspire me, like some of my own friends. So I implore you to get out there and create and to be your true authentic self.
