Amanda please

When life gives you lemons you make lemonade which in translation means you take what life gives you and run with it, but sometimes life gives you blessings instead of challenges. In this case life gave me a great friend, Amanda.

Throughout your life you meet a lot of different people who impact it in many different ways and she is one of the people who has done this. We met my Jr. year of college and her Sophomore year in a beginners sewing class called Apparel 1. I don’t remember the exact moment we became such great friends but we just did. It’s kinda like when you see a piece of clothing and you know you it’s going to be a staple in your closet. Amanda is a staple in my life, so corny, I know. She is honestly one of the people I am most similar to and holds a lot of the same values as me. We both care WAY too much about school, feel the same about politics, and dress up like there is no tomorrow. Of course I love everyone else who doesn’t have these same things in common with me, it would be a boring world otherwise, I’m just saying these are some of the reasons we’re the same person. I honestly think she has pushed me to do better in every aspect of life, especially school. This is one person I know will be a friend forever and our path will cross again, even after we both graduate.

Before I graduated we both knew we wanted to take photos together and do a collaboration, because we are both bloggers and Instagram obsessed, so we finally did. Here are the photos and coordinating outfits we ended up with! Of course, I will link what items you can still buy below or similar items. I am obsessed with the whole fruit on clothing trend so when Amanda and I decided we were going to take cute photos together, of course I decided on a playful print. I got these white high-waisted lemon print pants from Forever 21 and have not been able to stop wearing them since. They pair easily with so many textures and different colors. Here I decided on a grey cropped hoodie with white drawstrings but there are a plethora of other tops you could style them with. A few other fun yet stylish options would be a black and white polka dot top, a white top with a lot of volume in it, a black bandeau top, a gingham print top, or maybe a bright red top!

To keep the outfit more simple I wore my white semi-platformed JuJu jelly sandals. Once again there are so many options of shoes to wear with this outfit. Some different pairs of shoes you could put with this outfit would be some black mules, white sneakers, white heels, or you could add a pop of color, like red.

For my accessories I wore the namesake of my blog, the one and only, Gucci belt. I also decided to wear my yellow tassel earrings from H&M that happened to be the exact same shade of yellow in my pants. Tassel earrings are yet another trend I am way too into. I think I own five different colors and styles of tassel earrings. This pair specifically, comes in several different colors.

Lastly I wore my round basket bag from Urban Outfitters. This bag is great for the summer and goes well with everything, especially with beach inspired outfits.
